At Niagara Falls, fireworks aren't just for the 4th of July. They have them several times a week, and it's actually the Canadian side of the falls that sends them up.
On our first try, we had to watch them from the van, stuck in traffic trying to cross the border into Canada. There the friendly Canadian border agent told us the secret to the best place to view the fireworks...the pedestrian walkway on the bridge between the two countries. We returned a few days later and discovered she was absolutely right.
As a side note, border crossings with Eric can be something of an adventure all on their own. We live about 40 minutes from the Canadian border, so this is something we do fairly often. Border agents take their jobs pretty seriously, and they're not big fans of unusual behavior as a general rule. This is one of those situations where "autistic" is a magic word.
They sometimes type some notes into their computer...wonder what they say?
